Who we are
It was my first trip to Thailand when my eyes were opened to the reality of living conditions in
third world communities. I saw children not far from my age living in drastically different
circumstances, all because my family had taken a risk to leave everything in Thailand and go to
America in hopes of a better life. I could easily have been those children living in poverty
Wanting to serve communities like this, I
volunteered over summers to distribute medicine
for those affected by HIV and AIDS and went
to orphanages in Thailand to provide them with
basic necessities and care for children. After
summers helping overseas, though, I would
come home to peers who did not share the same
sense of urgency to help or change these
situations. While they seemed to express
sympathy, the gravity of the situation did not
reach them nor inspire them to act.

So I fostered a new goal to bridge the gap between our overseas and local community,
I founded this non-profit organization, Kids2Kidz.
